FedRAMP Moderate Rev5 Equivalence

SGC2 has been independently assessed by a FedRAMP-accredited Third-Party Assessment Organization (3PAO) and designated FedRAMP Moderate Equivalent, meeting the DoD memorandum requirements for equivalence. This assessment confirms that SGC2’s security controls, documentation, and continuous monitoring processes have been validated against the full FedRAMP Moderate baseline.

Through this assessment, SGC2 maintains a completed Security Assessment Report (SAR), an Integrated Inventory Workbook (per customer), and an active Continuous Monitoring (ConMon) program. Together, these provide agencies and government contractors with the same level of assurance as a FedRAMP-Authorized environment—without the delay or complexity of a new authorization cycle.

Benefits to Agencies and Contractors

  • Meets DoD Equivalence Requirements: Recognized under DoD guidance for FedRAMP Moderate Equivalence, enabling rapid adoption for mission workloads.

  • Accelerates Agency Sponsorship & ATOs: Agencies can leverage SGC2’s validated controls to shorten the path to an Agency or FedRAMP ATO for hosted workloads.

  • Control Inheritance for DIBCAC: Contractors and system integrators can inherit SGC2’s FedRAMP Moderate controls to reduce scope and streamline their own DIBCAC compliance under NIST SP 800-171 and DFARS 252.204-7012.

  • Continuous Monitoring Assurance: Ongoing vulnerability management, patching, and configuration validation ensure sustained compliance between assessment cycles.

  • U.S.-Only Infrastructure: Hosted exclusively in U.S. Colocation Datacenters with their own FedRAMP Authorization, supporting federal data residency requirements.

Operational Impact

By leveraging SGC2’s 3PAO-validated platform, agencies and contractors gain access to a ready-to-use FedRAMP Moderate environment that integrates infrastructure, platform, and managed services—all backed by continuous compliance and documentation that meets DoD equivalence standards. This allows mission owners and contractors to focus on delivering outcomes, not maintaining infrastructure compliance.

We considered many companies [and] ultimately selected Sand Solutions because of its customer oriented approach to hosting, its common sense attitude of what it could do for us and how it would do it, and its professionalism. Sand Solutions was willing to create a solution that worked for us. We had Sand Solutions set up and host our Exchange server for email, as well as Active Directory. I am extremely pleased with the hosting and support that Sand Solutions has provided.
